Can I sideload books without having an Amazon account?

I am going to send my father a Kindle and sideload many DRM-free books into it, but the problem is my father doesn’t have a Kindle account, so is it possible to transfer books into the Kindle in this situation?

Yes of course you can do this.

Just plug the Kindle to computer with USB cable, then copy the DRM-free books into the “Documents” folder under Kindle’s root path.
