How to Transfer Kindle Highlights to Computer
When we read some non-fiction Kindle books, we would always highlight some important parts. But reading these highlights on Kindle is not a nice experience, I’d rather collect them in my Evernote or print them to paper for better collection and reading.
To transfer Kindle highlights or we call it Kindle clippings to computer, you have 2 ways: Copy the “My Clippings.txt” file from Kindle to computer, or visit the specific page on Amazon.com.
Method 1. Copy the “My Clippings.txt” file from Kindle to computer
- Connect Kindle device to computer via USB cable.
- Open the Kindle directory, in the “documents” folder you shall see a txt file called “My Clippings” if you have highlighted some parts from Kindle books.
- Copy this file to you computer, then you can use it or edit it freely.
Methid 2. Go to Kindle “Your Highlights” page
If your highlights are marked from purchased Amazon Kindle books, the highlights will be sycned by Kindle automatically, and all of them are backed up and displayed on a specific webpage called “Your Highlights“.
