4 Apps Like Instagram for Kindle Fire HD

Instagram is the most popular photo editing and sharing app in this era, for both iOS and Android gadgets, of course including Kindle Fire HD tablets.

But people’s needs are always different, I believe not everyone who needs to edit and share images would like Instagram. So in this post I will introduce some apps like Instagram, or we can call them Instagram Alternatives. And all of them are available in Amazon Appstore.

1.  EyeEm

EyeEm is an photo editing and sharing app with many amazing filters and effects, in this app you can connect with other users, and discover nice pictures for any stuff you can imagine. Your pictures can also be discovered by the users all over the world.

This app is free to use, and there are 20 filters available in free version, you can buy more filters and effects in the app.

What’s more, the app often hold some “mission” or “competition”, you can submit your photo works to win a prize.

2. Camera Awesome

Compared to Instagram and EyeEm, Camera Awesome doesn’t provide social features, but focus and filter and effects.

It provides 100+ filters and effects, and powerful editing functions. In addition, it provides enhanced controls of the Kindle Fire HD camera, like manually set the exposure time, ISO, etc..

The only pity is it costs $2.99, no free version available in Amazon Appstore, while the iOS version is freemium.

3. Adobe Photoshop Express

I think I need not to introduce what is Adobe Photoshop, obviously this is the mobile lite version of the powerful and professional Adobe Photoshop.

As an app titled as Photoshop, it disappointed me. The picture editing features are too basic and limited, however, all of them are essential features. So if you just need some simple editing features, and need a stable app created by a famous company. This app would be your choice, after all, it’s totally free.

4. Flickr

Flickr is the picture editing and sharing giant on computer which is provided by Yahoo, it also offers the mobile app for Kindle Fire HD.

On the computers, we consider it as a picture hosting and album sharing service. But on app, it  emphasizes the photo taking and editing features.

Flicker app provides 100% free custom filters and frames, some filters and effects including Enhance, Sharpen, Crop, and Contrast.

The reason I need it is because I often take pictures with my Nikon camera, and upload them to Flickr, organize them in albums. When taking photos with my Kindle Fire HD, I sometimes want to upload some pictures to my Flickr album, this app helps me a lot for the job. Or I need to export the pictures to computer at first, then upload them to Flickr.

However, there are some other apps I like but not available in Amazon Appstore, like my favorite image editing apps SnapSeed and Camera+, but many of them are available in Google Play.

With some simple tricks, you can install Google Play apps on Kindle Fire HD, in this way, you can get those apps on your Kindle Fire HD to enjoy enhanced experience.
