Why my Windows computer doesn’t recognize my Kindle?

0

This is the Kindle Paperwhite 4 I bought last month. I used to buy books directly from Amazon, so I didn’t discover this problem.

When I plugged the Kindle into the computer via USB today, I found that the computer could not recognize it.

My computer is a Dell Windows 10 laptop that recognizes my USB flash drive but does not recognize the Kindle.

I have tried to restore the Kindle to factory settings, but it doesn’t work.

As far as my experience, the only possibility is that your USB cable is broken, it is likely that the connector is loose. I suggest you try another USB cable or buy a new one.

If your Kindle was bought last month, it should come with a new USB cable. If it is this cable that broken, you can contact Amazon to see if they can send you a new one.
