Amazon Kindle Steel Water Bottle Hands-On

Since I bought my first Kindle in 2012, it has been 7 years past. In these 7 years, I bought almost all the generations of Kindle, read tons of books, also fall in love with all Kindle accessories.

Last week a friend of mine sent me a steel water bottle with Amazon Kindle logo. I’ve never heard that Amazon released such a bottle, so I thought it’s a fake one.

But when I receive it, I got that it is only released in China. My friend told me that it’s sold by Amazon China, formerly Joyo, and made by a company called Xiaomijiaju.

This bottle looks like the design of S’well bottle, especially the wood pattern. At first I thought the outside layer is made of wood, in fact, it is steel with printed wood pattern. The printed pattern would wear out after prolonged use.

This capacity of the bottle is 500ml, big enough for a day out.

You can see the Amazon Kindle and the famous “reading boy under tree” logo on the bottom of the bottle.

The wood style spray paint is beautiful, and the matte feel can also play a certain anti-slip effect in use.

By the way, there are still some flaws at the interface, you can see it from the photo above.

The worst workmanship in the entire bottle is this lid. The metal is inferior, and the plastic inside the metal lid has obvious burrs. Every time I open the lid during use, it will scratch my hand.

Speaking of insulation capacity, this Kindle steel bottle is a bit inferior to my S’well bottle.

Is it worth buying?

If you are a fan of Amazon Kindle, you can buy it without hesitation. If you just need a steel water bottle, I think you’d better consider other brands like Thermos or S’well.
