Kindle Paperwhite Screen doesn’t respond?

This paperwhite has been used for 4 years, recently it met such a problem. Sometimes the screen doesn’t respond, especially when it is locked. Should I make a factory reset? Or it’s the hardware issue so I have to fix it or even buy a new one?

I believe this is a common issue for Kindle.

Next time you meet such a problem, please press the Kindle power button for 30 seconds, then your Kindle should restart and back to normal.

I also recommend you back up all the books and do a factory reset.
