I have a Kindle Fire HDX, running Fire OS 4.5.3, is it possible to turn it into an Android Tablet?

Unfortunately you updated your Kindle Fire HDX to Fire OS 4.5.3, this version can’t be rooted, therefore you cannot install an Android ROM onto it.

For Kindle Fire running lower version firmware, you can root it at first, then install an Android ROM like Cyanogen Mod. For details you can search for Cyanogen or ask for help on XDA forum.
