Can I sync last page read record between bought Kindle books and sideloaded books?

Now I am reading a book which is downloaded from an author’s website and sideloaded it to my Kindle Paperwhite, sometimes I read on my iPhone with Kindle app. So can I sync last page read for this sideloaded book between my Kindle and iPhone?
